the first was shut up and the tank was filled in 2 hrs more. When did the first pipe A shut up?
45. Two pipes A and B can fill a tank in 36 min. and 45 min. respectively. A waste pipe C cans empty
the tank in 30 min. First A and B are opened. After 7 min, C is also opened. In how much time, the
tank is full?
46.A cistern has a leak which would empty it in 8 hours. A tap is turned on which admits 6 liters a
minute into the cistern and it is now emptied in 12 hours. How many liters does the cistern hold?
47. A and B can fill a cistern in 60 min, and 75 min. respectively. If all the pipes (including a waste -pipe
C) are opened together, the cistern is full in 50 minutes. Find the time required for C to empty the
full cistern.
48. Surav takes one day to do a work; Gaurav takes two days to do the same work. IF Gaurav takes 24

The Poplar Field - W.COWPER Summary William Cowper gave up his public career for a life of retirement in rural area and exclusively, devoted his later life in writing poetry.
